HAVING TROUBLE DOWNLOADING?

For users that are having problems downloading the large files that are on this site, broken downloads, slow downloads and so on, we highly recommend using a download manager that has resume capabilities. Below is the program I use.

Dispite the not so impressive name this program is one of the best download managers on the web and if you use it you will never have another problem downloading from this site, plus you dont have to add the download links manually, this program does it all for you even with the "Registered Only" downloads.

We are on a shared host so this problem is expected so just give this program a try and see how it goes. You can always uninstall it later.

   

Idle Accounts Will Be Deleted After 6 Months

We have installed an auto prune system for users that have not logged in within 6 months in an attempt to keep our userbase active.

If you have not logged into this site for a minimum of 6 months, your account will be deleted and you will need to create another one.

Donating members that donate 5 dollars or more are immune to this, that is if you used the same email to donate with as you used to register on this site, if not please let us know who you are when you donate so we can add you to the exclusion list.

Welcome to The Rom-Connection formerly Generation-Roms. We hope you all enjoy this site as much as we did making it. In here you will find anything and EVERYTHING to do with MAME.

Looking for Mame CHD's? I know Mame CHD's are extremely hard to come by but not anymore as we have the entire collection including Laser Disc CHD's and they are always updated with the newest version of Mame. Anyway we hope you all have fun on this site and if you have any questions feel free to visit the Forums.

Also you can chat live with me or another admin by simply clicking on our username in the bottom right of the screen. If you see "Dragon", "GameFreak", "BlueMan" or "NinjaGaiden2" in that list and you have a question feel free to Private Message us. You must be logged in to use that feature.

    We have just added 129 more Sega Saturn ISO's to make our USA collection more complete so check them out.

    On a side note, Mame 0.146 shouldnt be long now so please be patient while we get everything worked out.

    We have changed the menu structure of the site so it doesnt look as long and clutterd. It doesnt look like we have as many roms as before but I assure you that we do.

    All of the Sega roms and ISO's are in the "Sega" section of the menu, simply click "Sega" and you will see all the sega roms and ISO's we carry, The same goes for a few other systems as well.

    We have just opened the Mame CHD's v5 section for the users that want to take a chance with the new format.

    There is not to many in the list right now but keep checking back because we will be adding new ones each day until they are all up.

    Be warned that the upgrade process from v4 to v5 is still in beta stage and some of the CHD's may not work and that especially goes for the LaserDisc CHD's.

    I have decided to re-open the Mame CHD section and to host both v4 and v5 CHD's for users that want one or the other or both.

    v5 will not be up for awhile but hang tight there coming.

  • I am Upgrading the Mame CHD's Myself

    UPDATE: I have decided to upgrade our CHD collection myself before an official release. The first couple of CHD's I upgraded to v5 seemed to work perfectly using the latest Mame emulator.
     
    It will take me a few days to update them all, then I will be uploading them to the site. As soon as I get a few of the new v5 CHD's uploaded I will re-open the Mame CHD sections again then you just have to check every once in awhile to see if there are any new ones added.
     
    Keep in mind that v5 is not even official yet so if you have any problems getting any known working CHD's to work let me know.

    I would just like to inform all of our users that v5 of the Mame CHD's are out and anyone that has v4 will need to upgrade all of there CHD's, We are waiting until an official v5 release is out before we upload the new CHD's so we advise all of you to not download any CHD's until we have the new ones unless you want to spend hours upgrading them all with chdman.exe.

    Hey all.......We have just finished with the new downloads section. It now has a ratings system so you can rate each file if you would like. Keep in mind that some download sections will not be viewable unless you Register.

    We also updated the Mame CHD files which brings the Mame CHD set to 0.141.3 Enjoy!!
